What Does a Stephen Minister Do?

Stephen Ministers are Committed Christians who:

  • Receive extensive training care- giving skills
  • Visit another person regularly

 

  • Are committed to maintaining confidentiality
  • Listen to our concerns

Stephen Ministers are NOT

  • Counselors

  • Therapists
  • Problems Solvers
  • Casual Visitors

How to Refer Someone for a Stephen Minister:

 
  1. Identify someone who is hurting

  2. Share this brochure with that Person

  3. Get permission to call a Stephen Leader
